Patrick O’Donnell distinctively remembers the first home that launched his building career in 1988, which was a ranch home in Chicago’s North side while interest rates were competitively just over 10% and the home sold for 166k. Following the successful close of his first home he picked up the pace and by 1990 was building a new home approximately every nine months. As his comfort level and experience grew by 1994 Pat was successfully building two homes at a time still focusing on Chicagos North side. It wasn’t until 1996 that he ventured to the great Lakeview and Wrigley neighborhoods and began to build condominium homes while simultaneously building single family homes. The first few condominium projects were the three unit walk-up condominium buildings and as buyer demand increased so did the size of the condominium projects that he was building. By 2002 Pat partnered up with another successful builder and built three large buildings together, including a 25 unit West Loop residential building, a 24 unit Lincoln Square project and a 22 unit unparalleled limestone Lakeview project.
